Landscape Team Member
Reports to: Landscape Construction Foreman
A Landscape Team Member spends their days immersed in the sounds and sights of the natural countryside where they are responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (generally physical labour) to assist with the completion of awesome and award-winning landscape and water feature construction projects. The landscape team member will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks. Through these experiences and along with the training opportunities provided a landscape team member can build a career.

Job Duties:
-
Operate, load and unload various tools and equipments, including: concrete saws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, rakes, hammers, drills, etc.

Assist in the construction of incredible water features, walkways, patios, and walls, as well as the installation of plant material
-
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting daily inspections, lubricating, and cleaning
-
Manually dig pond basins, ditches, or trenches together with your teammates
-
Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and hand lifting/carrying
-
Assist foreman with job-related tasks

Comply with all company policies and regulations, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
-
Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
-
Training on the job and through courses

Requirements:
-
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in the landscape construction industry
-
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
-
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
-
Time management skills

Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape construction practices

Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as a part of a team
-
Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks

Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver's license and safe driving record

Work Conditions:

Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment and materials

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent stamina is required
-
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
-
Work outdoors in various conditions including extreme heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
-
Seasonal (May to November), full-time (Monday to Friday – 40 to 50 working hours including occasional weekend work).

Pay: $20-$24/hour based on experience.
