MOONLIGHT ON THE BAY

We were called to design and install perennial meadow gardens for Moonlight on the Bay, the newly established luxury boutique villas located on the beautiful Bay of Quinte in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory neighbouring Prince Edward County.

The architecture of the villas is a contemporary Spanish style and we wanted to merge old world aesthetics with a true Ontario feel. The goal was to develop a meadow of grasses and forbs that would look natural while integrating and flowing seamlessly with the bullrushes that line this stunning waterfront property.

This incredible garden is very young still, having only been installed in the spring of 2024, but we were very pleased when we went to visit this meadow only a few months later in the season. There was so much vibrant growth and the plants were already dancing in the constant gentle breeze that comes in from the bay.

We look forward to updating this project with new photos over the coming years, as the meadow matures into its own wonderful dynamic landscape.
