TRENT HILLS WILDSCAPE

This landscape was developed as a Phase II, for a new house build on a willow farm in Trent Hills, Ontario.

Together with our strategic partners, we completed this new installation late in the 2024 season. The brief was to create an effortless, dynamic landscape that merges seamlessly with the surrounding natural meadows and incredible views from the home and that emphasizes a sense of place. It includes a contemporary front entrance, gravel gardens, natural swimming pond, feature boulders and natural stone steps. A mix of native and pollinator-friendly plantings was installed in the front entrance, expansive wildflower berms were created to echo the hilly countryside that surrounds the property and large designed meadows were installed surrounding a newly constructed pond. Swales and French drains were installed to ensure positive drainage and re-infiltrate stormwater into the the aquifer. We still have a few super exciting elements to add in Phase III of this amazing project - a green roof and an eco-lawn!
